E-Levy Bill Passed (More Details)

On Tuesday afternoon, Parliament passed the contentious Electronic Transactions (E-Levy) Bill.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, a Majority-sided House finished the Consideration Stage, resulting in this conclusion.

During a Minority walkout, the Bill was adopted at a lower rate of 1.5 percent rather than the original 1.75 percent.

The measure is expected to be signed by President Akufo-Addo.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has already indicated that its structures have been updated and are ready to ensure revenue collection.
