Last week, young and talented Ghanaian hip-hop singer Black Sherif released his 1st Sermon freestyle, which caused quite a stir on social media.
The track’s release caused such a stir on Twitter that the King himself, Sarkodie, followed him back.
The singer recently shared a ‘Behind the Scenes’ video of his collaboration with award-winning rapper Sarkodie, in which they were both dancing and enjoying his latest track ‘1st Sermon.’
The song is expected to appear on his upcoming project, ‘Road To The Tape Series.’ Black Sherif’s rise began when a short video of him surfaced online.
Many music fans lauded him as one of the best new artistes in Ghana’s music industry after seeing the video, which was widely shared on social media.
The song, as is typical of sherif, emphasizes the daily grind, the need for loyalty, and survival in the music industry.
The sentiment resonates with many Ghanaian youth because it emphasizes the socioeconomic hardships and maneuvers required to make it in the bustling city of Accra, as well as the pressure that comes with it.
On YouTube, the video has already received 100,000 views.
Black Sherif’s collaboration with Sarkodie is expected very soon.
